Joseph M. Bianca died Sunday, January 17, 2021 at the Mountain View Care Center.
Born in Scranton on October 29, 1953 son of the late Joseph F. and Frances A. Bianca. He worked at Allied Services for over 20 years before retiring in 2017.
A natural athlete, he excelled at many sports growing up. Joe won many area golf tournaments before graduating Central High School in 1971. He also attended Keystone Junior College.
Joe was dedicated to the Rosary, loved a good pizza, watching football with his friends, and attending Mass at St. Peter’s Cathedral.
Surviving are sister, Joanne, Scranton; two brothers, Robert (Marie), El Paso, Texas; and Tom (Susan), Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. Niece Ann, nephews Alex and Michael (Becky), and great-nephew Anthony.
The funeral will be conducted Thursday from the Solfanelli-Fiorillo Funeral Home Inc., 1030 N. Main Ave., Scranton with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Peter’s Cathedral, 315 Wyoming Ave. Entombment will follow in St. Catherine’s Cemetery Mausoleum, Moscow. Friends and family may pay their respects Thursday in the funeral home from 8:30 – 9:30 am. Social distancing guideline will be enforced and face masks will be required.
