Obituary for Kathryn Yusinski
Kathryn Yusinski, 96, of West Mountain died Wednesday December 23, 2020 at the Hospice of the Sacred Heart Inpatient Center following an illness. She was the widow of Joseph Yusinski who died in 1979.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Justina Kury
Pawluck. She attended West Scranton High School, was formerly employed in the local Garment Industry, Bookbinding, and Housekeeping.
She was a longtime member of St. David’s Church, now a member of St. Patrick’s Parish.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire staff of the Hospice of The Sacred Heart for the wonderful care they provided.
Surviving is a son David Yusinski and wife Joan; a daughter Sharon Orzolek and husband Joseph; six grandchildren, Joseph Yusinski and wife Shannon, Anitra McShea and husband Shawn, David Yusinski and fiancée Mary, Michael Yusinski and wife Melissa, Joseph P. Orzolek and wife Linda, Matthew Orzolek and wife Kirsten; six great grandchildren; daughter-in-law Rose Mary Yusinski; Nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Anthony Yusinski; A brother, Anthony who passed in route to the United States, sisters, Mary Ruchak, and Anna Namulik, and twin siblings, Rose Pitts, and Anthony.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic funeral service will be held privately with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church, Jackson St. Interment will be with her late husband at Abington Hills Cemetery. South Abington Township.
Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Patrick’s Food Pantry, 1403 Jackson St. Scranton, Pa. 18404.
