Dolores A. Bernotsky a resident of the Delaware Tower Apartments, formerly of North Scranton passed away Tuesday evening at home with her family by her side. She was the widow of Stephen Bernotsky Sr. who died April 13, 1991.
Born in Dover NJ, she was the daughter of the late John and Edith Miller Flaherty. Prior to her retirement she was employed as a waitress.
She was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish, the Polish Progressive Club, and the Taurus Club. Dolores greatly enjoyed bowling, going to the casino, and playing Bingo with friends!
Surviving are three sons, Stephen Jr. and wife Melissa, Moscow, Michael and wife Michelle, William and wife Veronica, and a daughter, Teresa, all of Scranton. Two brothers, Richard and Bobby Flaherty; eight grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Theresa O’Brien; two brothers, Raymond and John Flaherty.
Private funeral services will be conducted at the convenience of the family. A special thank you to her caretaker, Cindy Greene.
interment at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Morgan Highway, Scranton.
A celebration of life service will be held at a date to be announced in the future.
