Obituary for
Carolyn M. Pacifico
Carolyn M. Pacifico, 87, of Scranton, died on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Allied Services Hospice Center in Scranton.
She was born in Scranton on August 2, 1933 to the late Alma Braukus.
On May 21, 1955, she married the love of her life, Salvatore “Sam” Pacifico. Together, they shared 65 wonderful years of marriage.
She was educated in the Scranton schools, and as a devout Catholic, was a lifelong member of St. Joseph’s Parish in Scranton until its closure. Most recently, she was a member of St. Anthony’s Parish in Dunmore.
She was totally devoted to her family and her faith, and will be forever loved and missed. She has been appointed to be in charge of leftover containers in heaven!
Along with her husband, she is survived by her children, Mary Ann Dalykas and her husband Richard, Scranton; Marguerite Kania, and husband Mark, Old Forge; Joseph Pacifico, and wife Kathryn, Peckville. She is also survived by grandchildren Mark A.V. Kania, and partner Aaron Krieger, Chicago; Stephanie L. Kania, and fiancé Matthew Hicks, Baltimore; and Kella Pacifico, Peckville; multiple nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law.
The family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff of Geisinger Community Medical Center, and Allied Services Hospice Center for the excellent compassionate care given to Carolyn.

There will be no calling hours. Private graveside services will be held at Dunmore Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
