Obituary for
Benjamin F. Simpson Jr.
Benjamin F. Simpson Jr. of Scranton died Sunday September 9, 2018 at the Allied Services Hospice Center. His wife the former Marge Motsavage preceded him in death June 13, 1987.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Gladys Krotzer Simpson.
He was a proud United States Army veteran of World Warr II. Prior to his retirement he was employed as a mechanic by the Quaker Leasing Co. and had previously worked for the Lackawanna Rail Road.
He was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing golf.
He was a member of the Teamsters Local #229, VFW Post #908, and the Taurus Club.
He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather, he was loved and will be missed by all.

Surviving are two daughters, Rita and husband Allen MacDonald, Springbrook Twp., Judy and husband John Phillips, Collegeville, Pa.; a son Richard, Millville, Pa.; two grandchildren, Rick Simpson and wife Mackenzie, Jennifer Tucholski and husband Rick; five great grandchildren; two sisters, Elaine Morris, Wilmington, DE., and Carol Perry, Clarks Summit, Pa.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Ronald, James, and Ralph; a sister, Regina Williams.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 9:30 am in the Solfanelli-Fiorillo Funeral Home Inc., 1030 N. Main Ave. Interment with military honors will follow at St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Moscow.
Family and friends may pay their respects Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
